After more than 3 years: One of THE cult anime of the 90s is finally returning to television!

For all those who didn’t really warm up with “Sailor Moon Crystal” and instead want to indulge in 90s nostalgia with the original series, Sixx has a very special TV gift ready in August 2020 …

Anyone who grew up in the 90s could hardly have missed “Sailor Moon” on television. The anime adaptation of the Japanese manga series of the same name was not only a global success, it also achieved absolute cult status in Germany.

Nevertheless, the series has not been shown on TV in this country for a long time and it cannot be found in popular streaming subscriptions. Instead, fans had to fall back on the DVD publications * – or make do with the new edition “Sailor Moon Crystal”, which will be shown for the first time on German free TV at the end of 2019.

But if you prefer to go for the original (and don’t want to pay extra for it), you can be happy: Sixx, where “Sailor Moon Crystal” was also shown, is now taking the original series back into the program. It last ran over three and a half years ago on VexMovies online broadcaster RTL II You, which has since been discontinued.

From August 1, 2020, Sixx will broadcast four of the 200 “Sailor Moon” episodes in a row every Saturday evening from 6:20 pm.

This is “Sailor Moon”

The main character of “Sailor Moon” is the clumsy schoolgirl Bunny Tsukino, who one day gets to know the talking cat Luna. This reveals to Bunny that magical powers lie dormant in her, thanks to which she becomes the moon warrior Sailor Moon.

Little by little she gathers more warriors around her, with whom she fights against dark forces and for love and justice.
